Chester Astronomical Society is one of the world's oldest scientific societies going back to 1892.
It hosts public lectures by amateurs and professionals alike and arranges visits to sites of technical interest.

Dr Allan Chapman
Last Friday's lecture with Dr Chapman was a riveting account of the history of the Royal Society, with particular consideration given to the role of the early astronomers among them. Dr Chapman was on his usual top form!
