Chester Astronomical Society is one of the world's oldest scientific societies going back at least to 1892. It hosts public lectures by amateurs and professionals alike and arranges visits to sites of technical interest.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 26th September at 7.30 pm. The speaker is Prof. Albert Zijlstra of the University of Manchester, and his subject will be: Planetary Nebulae of the Galactic Bulge.
