Chester Astronomical Society is one of the world's oldest scientific societies going back at least to 1892. It hosts public lectures by amateurs and professionals alike and arranges visits to sites of technical interest.
Many thanks for the great talk last night on Comets and Meteors by Dr Jacco van Loon. He spoke very clearly, was knowledgable and the presentation with lots of photos and slides was fantastic. It was my first night with Chester Astronomical Society so I would like to come to the next meeting and hopefully join. Please pass on my thanks to Dr Jacco van Loon for such an interesting night.Adair Broughton
